We now have an excellent opportunity for a Digital Communications Officer to join our busy Marketing Operations Department. Working in close liaison with the content and communications teams, you will define and apply an effective integrated social media policy and strategy for the charity, generating content for our social media channels that will engage with our supporters in a positive and appealing way, while adhering to our vision, ethos and values.
Educated to degree level, or possessing equivalent working experience, you will work closely with the digital team, marketing communications colleagues and external agencies to deploy successful and targeted digital campaigns, contributing to fundraising, commercial and PR projects and maximising digital income generation opportunities. Able to translate digital terminology and processes into clear and concise language to a variety of stakeholders, you will encourage staff to embrace and use social media, advise on best practice, and help to implement localised strategies by maintaining an oversight of charity wide social media activities.
Experience of creating, and developing paid and organic social media strategies that align with digital and offline strategies, together with demonstrable line and performance management experience and the ability to inspire, motivate and develop colleagues is essential, as are excellent communication, consultancy, collaborative and IT skills.
