Set along the historic Jurassic Coast and nestled in the tranquil East Devon countryside, The Donkey Sanctuary is an award-winning visitor attraction home to hundreds of friendly rescue donkeys just waiting to meet you.

Besides the furry residents, explore our exciting new indoor attractions and find out just why donkeys matter through interactive displays in the new Exhibition Barn, Understanding Donkeys Zone and Dr Svendsen’s Hut.

Enjoy a delicious meal at The Kitchen restaurant, where freshly prepared dishes using local, ethically sourced produce are served overlooking the donkeys’ paddocks and coast. Great value group menus are available for pre-booked groups, including a complimentary meal for the driver.

The new Gift Shop stocks a wide selection of quality gifts and souvenirs to remember your visit by. From donkey-design items to cards, locally-made produce and our Adopt a Donkey gift packs, browse at leisure in the knowledge that every stylish purchase goes towards helping donkeys in need.
