The Donkey Sanctuary’s family-friendly restaurant, The Kitchen, provides a tranquil haven in which to enjoy a delicious meal any day of the week. Our Gold Taste of the West award-winning food is served daily from 9am (except Christmas Day).
Indulge in a serving of farm-fresh food, while soaking in the unparalleled views across donkey paddocks, Devon’s rolling hills, and the Jurassic coast.
Take sanctuary in our restaurant and choose from our colourful menu, packed with fresh, local and in-season produce. All of our dishes are made on-site by our expert chefs who have hand-picked only the freshest ingredients for you to enjoy.
As a passionate animal welfare organisation, we ensure that all meat dishes are responsibly sourced from producers with high standards of farming and welfare, while vegan or vegetarian options are prominent and varied in our menu. Good practice, good for the environment, good for you.
What’s more, every penny of profit from The Kitchen goes towards helping the donkeys and mules in our care and in communities around the world – an extra helping for the hardworking animals who are most in need.
Discover the new Sunday Brunch menu at The Kitchen – a weekend treat best served with friends, family and fabulous views. Served 9am – 3pm every Sunday from 6 October 2019.
When it comes to brunch, there’s something for everyone, including vegan, veggie and gluten-free offerings to make your mouth water. Once you’ve satisfied the foodie in you, take time to digest the scene that unfolds out from our restaurant veranda; great sea views, rolling green hills, and happily grazing donkeys. What’s not to love?
Or if our Ciabatta-based BLT has put a pep in your step, go roaming along one of our many trails and walks. Who knows what fuzzy friends you’ll meet along the way!
