There are an estimated 50 million donkeys and mules worldwide. Most are working to support livelihoods in some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in the world and have a vital role to play in human happiness and survival. Many need care and protection from a life of suffering and neglect.
For the first time, we are seeking a dedicated Internal Communications Officer to help keep our 800 staff and 600 volunteers across the world abreast of our incredible and far reaching work to reach the donkeys most in need.
Working closely with our Head of Communications, you will help develop a brand new Internal Communications Programme of Work, leading a new consultative project team of representatives, ensuring we have a range of channels and tools to deliver communications and engagement activities to our colleagues.
This appointment requires an innovative internal communications specialist, with excellent networking and collaboration skills. You will develop strong working relationships with the core areas of Global Programmes; Donkey Assisted Therapy (DAT); Rescue & Rehoming; Research & Programme Support; and Emergency Response. You will have proven experience in a communications background, ideally within the Not for Profit sector in a similar context.
This is a pivotal point in our organisation’s history; if you have the passion and skills to make a difference, we would like you to play a leading role in our story.
This is a full-time, permanent contract working 35 hours per week. Flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the role and the department.
