Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for influencing up to £10 million of charity expenditure. As part of a recently established procurement strategy you will lead the procurement team, managing and delivering all procurements across a diverse range of categories of expenditure.
With a focus on delivering effective cost management, including further development in cost savings and efficiencies you will develop and review procurement strategies, provide learning and development of procurement principles with budget holders, identify opportunities for collaboration, provide sound commercial advice to customers and manage crucial supplier relationships effectively. You will also co-ordinate the workload of the team.
Due to the diversity of cost categories, you will ideally possess experience working in the private sector. However, candidates with a more specialist cost management experience are also encouraged to apply. You need to be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver value for money, engage effectively with stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers. Experience of strategic procurement planning and implementing changes/improvements is essential. You will be MCIPS qualified, or currently working towards your final exams and will possess a working knowledge of procurement legislation including EU Regulations and relevant frameworks.
This is a full-time, permanent role, starting as soon as possible.
