The Donkey Sanctuary is one of the UK’s largest animal welfare charities and the largest equine charity working internationally. The Donkey Sanctuary supports projects in over 30 countries worldwide. Every day we feel privileged to help sick, unwanted and hard-working donkeys and the people who rely on them, thanks to incredible donations from our valued supporters.
There are an estimated 50 million donkeys in the world and we currently reach one million of them. Can you help raise the money needed to reach even more donkeys in distress?
We are looking to recruit an experienced Direct Marketer to join our ambitious fundraising team in order to continue the growth of our income.
Further growth in individual giving is key to The Donkey Sanctuary’s future and achieving our mission; to double the number of neglected donkeys and mules we can help by 2018.
You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in achieving income growth across acquisition and retention and integrating multiple income streams; you’ll put donors at the heart of fundraising and manage our talented Direct Marketing Team.
You must be able to work autonomously as well as being a strong team player. You will have the ability to work well under pressure to meet targets and tight deadlines. You will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and have a natural ability to build rapport with a range of internal and external audiences, with the ability to flex your communication style to suit different individuals.
We need a confident individual to lead that growth, so if you have excellent experience of planning and testing high volume direct marketing programmes, ideally including digital activities and working with specialist agencies where appropriate, we would love to hear from you.
If this sounds like you and you possess the natural ability to act as ambassador for the charity, look no further than this exciting opportunity.
