Apache's arrival has been the one of the most expected ones ever at our rescue centre in Spain. He was the one donkey El Refugio del Burrito had to leave behind during the course of their biggest rescue case in Alicante earlier in 2013.
Because Apache was so weak and his hooves were in such dreadful condition he was unable to travel. He stayed at a holding base in Murcia not far from Alicante, where he had been recovering prior to travelling to his brand new home at El Refugio del Burrito.
We are happy to announce he has already joined their big happy family in Fuente de Piedra. It took Apache no time at all to feel at ease in his new surroundings, and he has already bonded with a donkey called Chiribí.
Apache is a gorgeous looking donkey, one whose coat is not that common at all in Spain. He is very good natured, if a bit naughty from what we have been told. We are so glad that this donkey is finally home, putting an end to a dreadful case we would not want to encounter ever again.
