A behind-the-scenes film about the Sidmouth-based Donkey Sanctuary is to be shown at Kennaway House in Sidmouth on Monday 7th December from 10.30am and entry is free.
The event is being held so that local people can watch the charity’s new promotional DVD entitled The Donkey Sanctuary… 40 Years On and gain greater knowledge of the aims, achievements and work of the sanctuary.
This new production provides a definitive insight into the global efforts of the charity and is narrated by the founder, Dr Elisabeth Svendsen, MBE.
Dawn Vincent, the Sanctuary’s Senior PR Officer who has helped produce the DVD says: “Whether you are a Donkey Sanctuary supporter or sceptic, this film will provide you with a greater understanding of the extent of our work."
“In the 40 years we have been running, so much has changed and this is the best way of seeing what goes on behind the scenes of, what is now, the largest Donkey Sanctuary in the world.”
The DVD has a run time of 1hr 22minutes and includes eight chapters*. It has been produced to commemorate the charity’s 40th anniversary and will be used to help with awareness and fundraising.
The doors will open at 10.30am and the film will start at 11.00am with refreshments being served during the interval. DVDs will be on sale afterwards and staff from the charity will be on-hand to answer your queries. For further information, visit www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk.
