The Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth.
Open 28 September. Free admission.
We are still the sanctuary you know and love. Our donkeys have been pampered and spoilt over the last few months. They're now really looking forward to your visits again. We have been making some changes to ensure we're all safe as possible, but still let you have fun. You can have a lovely lunch in The Kitchen, grab an ice cream or take a stroll through our beautiful landscape.
The restaurant is open with a few changes to seating and menu.
How to find us
Rail, road or riding. We've highlighted the best ways to get here for your day out.
9.30am - The Kitchen and Gift Shop
10.00am - Outdoor areas open
4.00pm - The Donkey Sanctuary closes
While the sanctuary is open 365 days a year, The Kitchen, Gift Shop and Visitor Centre will be closed on Christmas Day.
We are a working farm and many of our walkways are grass, so please dress appropriately and bring suitable footwear for the weather.
We welcome well-behaved dogs on a lead, although please note that dogs are not currently allowed in the restaurant (except guide dogs) due to reduced capacity.
Please do not leave dogs in your car. Instead, feel free to bring them on site, where food and drink will be available for you to enjoy in our picnic areas (we have a covered picnic area when the weather is inclement).
Please dispose of any waste in the bins provided.
