Do you have what it takes?
Do you love the idea of spending quality, one to one time with our rescued donkeys and mules working alongside our expert grooms? Do you think you could help some of our lovely residents who might be a little shy or need to learn to trust humans again, or can you help prepare donkeys to move into a new, loving foster home?
We're looking for some very special individuals who really care and would love to enhance the lives of the donkeys by helping with their care on one of our farms. Is that you?
Skills and personal experience
No experience is necessary as we provide full training. We need someone who is willing to learn about the care and behaviour of donkeys, can offer flexibility, is happy to work alongside other Quality Time Volunteers in a supportive and friendly way, and has the ability to use the training given to carry out the role with minimum supervision from Donkey Sanctuary staff.
Times and preferred duration of commitment
To be agreed; ideally we ask for a morning (10.30am - 1.00pm) or afternoon (1.30pm - 3.00pm) once a week, every other week or once a month for a minimum of six months.
