We have ambitious volunteering targets to reach by 2018 and therefore have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Volunteer Manager to deliver them.
This role will allow you to be at the front of our volunteer team. You will be working to create new volunteering opportunities, negotiate volunteer targets and drive forward our new volunteer strategy.
You will need to demonstrate excellent people skills with a passion and enthusiasm for engaging people in our vision. You must be able to create effective volunteer initiatives which draw people to us and ensure volunteers are integrated into the charity and developed within their roles. The ability to plan and deliver a number of demanding projects within agreed times scales and budgets along with having a comprehensive knowledge and experience of Human Resources practices and legislation relevant to volunteers are essential.
This is a permanent contract, working 35 hours per week. Flexibility will be required to meet the demands of the role.
