It’s that time of year again when we are upon our busy Spring/Summer season and we have a number of vacancies that we are looking to fill here at The Donkey Sanctuary.
Being the face of The Donkey Sanctuary is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys meeting and greeting, helping and advising – and working at such a great location is sure to bring a smile to your face!
Do you have the equine experience, coupled with great customer service skills to assist in the Main Yard? Would you enjoy putting your excellent communication and people skills to good use in our Visitors' Centre instead? If so, we would like to hear from you!
We are currently looking to recruit the following seasonal vacancies:-
Visitor Service Assistant x 4
Our Visitors' Centre is a vibrant hub and the first point of contact for many of our visitors to The Donkey Sanctuary. The main duties will involve meeting and greeting and engaging with all visitors to the site, promoting the charity’s work and helping to ensure all visitors have a fantastic day out. You will sell our Donkey World goods, take donations and promote our Adopt a Donkey scheme whilst maintaining a friendly and courteous manner.
This is a fixed term, annualised hours contract starting from 18 March 2015 until 6 November 2015 and working a minimum of 330 hours per year, to include working weekends and bank holidays.
Main Yard Visitor Service Assistant x 2
Out on our Main Yard, you really are able to engage our visitors with our donkeys! Providing a welcoming and friendly customer service, whilst also ensuring high levels of health and safety, you will actively encourage a warm and friendly visitor experience to The Donkey Sanctuary. You will also be required to work within our Visitors' Centre on a regular basis and assist with the selling of merchandise and charity products.
This is a fixed term, annualised hours contract starting from 18 March 2015 until 1 March 2016 a minimum of 1065 hours per year, based on working 4½ to 5 days per week through the Summer, including weekends and bank holidays. During the winter months, this will be reduced to working 1 weekend day per week only.
