Our International Department is looking for a full time, permanent, International Communications Officer, to be based at our charity headquarters in Sidmouth, Devon.
As International Communications Officer you will be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, and an articulate writer with the ability and enthusiasm to promote and explain the incredible work we do worldwide to professional PR and fundraising audiences.
You will help to develop and deliver an international communications strategy that dovetails with the wider Donkey Sanctuary communications team. You will manage and communicate international program information and maximise its effectiveness in progressing the charity’s aims. For example, you will collect and research information from our teams around the world, write a monthly international newsletter, write and edit copy and blogs for The Donkey Sanctuary website, engage with social media, work with other communication professionals, and explore new avenues for extending our audience.
You must have a journalism or equivalent degree in a related subject, and/or equivalent professional experience along with boundless energy and enthusiasm. Experience in animal welfare, animal or social science will give you a distinct advantage.
This is a full time, permanent contract working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
