We now have an excellent opportunity for a Treasury Clerk to join our busy Accounts team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all income ledgers for The Donkey Sanctuary, The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys, The International Donkey Protection Trust (‘the charities’) and their subsidiary undertakings, and their invoice billing and bank and petty cash reconciliations. You will also provide cover for the Purchase Ledger Controller or the other Accounts Clerks if required.
You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and experience of working in a cash/accounts receivable role, and will possess basic book keeping skills and a working knowledge of cash management/billing. Extensive working experience in the use of accounting software, together with an understanding of accounting systems and financial control procedures is essential, as are a practical knowledge of VAT codes and types of supplies, a high level of literacy, a strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
