We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpenter/Joiner to join our Estates and Facilities team. Under the direction of the Building and Groundworks Manager, you will responsible for carrying out carpentry/joinery and general building works at The Donkey Sanctuary, including the construction of new sectional buildings – mobile shelters, stables and sheds – and of new and replacement windows, doors and, stairs, as required.
Ideally a time served City and Guilds qualified tradesman with extensive experience of general building, carpentry and joinery, and possessing a working knowledge and practical experience of Health & Safety requirements, method statements and risk assessments, you will be able to run multiple projects simultaneously, plan your own work, estimate quantities, requesting orders for materials required. The ability to work both unsupervised and as a member of the Building and Groundworks team is essential.
This is a full-time, permanent contract starting as soon as possible, working 37.5 hours per week.
