We are looking to recruit a Head of IT to manage our IT strategy and drive efficiency through the use of technology across the charity. Educated to degree level, or possessing an equivalent qualification and/or relevant professional experience, you will lead on the strategic development, management and operation of our IT systems and manage and motivate the IT team to deliver an effective and highly regarded service across the charity.
You will undertake a critical assessment of the charity’s support requirements and implement ITIL protocols to improve ongoing control and customer service, building a culture of continuous service improvement, and review emerging technology trends for future IT development, creating competitive business opportunities. Possessing excellent communication skills, you will successfully build lasting relationships with colleagues and external agencies, influencing and collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels, and support the development of business cases, presenting on behalf of the Executive Team to the board of Trustees.
A strong working knowledge of fundamental computing concepts to support trouble shooting, problem solving and critical thinking methodologies, together with a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies and how they can be applied to the business, is essential, as are proven management and performance management experience, and demonstrable experience of successfully working within budgets. Experience of managing n-tier architectures hosted in private and public cloud environment is also a pre requisite.
