When you hear about The Donkey Sanctuary, your initial instinct might be to think of our wonderful work to rescue, rehome and care for donkeys across the UK. But there is much more to our charity than meets the eye.
One of the UK’s largest animal charities and the largest equine charity working internationally, our work reaches donkeys and mules in dozens of countries through direct community-based interventions to advocacy and campaigns.
We are looking for an events coordinator to organise and facilitate a series of global campaign events throughout March 2018.
The events will coincide with two reports to celebrate the contribution of donkeys to humanity and to raise awareness of concerns that threaten the welfare of the donkeys and the people who rely on them
Working within the Skin Trade project team you will manage the full process from booking venues, arranging delegate packs and budgeting and staffing requirements. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that the events are well publicised and promoted with the aim of drastically reducing the number of donkeys suffering in the production of skins.
