The Health and Safety Department plays a vital role within the charity, ensuring that the welfare and safety of staff, volunteers and visitors is maintained through regular information and advice, training and education and inspections and recommendations. You will provide administrative duties within the department in support of the operational activities of the Health & Safety Adviser.
You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of current Health & safety laws and procedures and undertake specific risk assessments assisting in the preparation and delivery of Health and safety training to all charity employees. You will act as the ambassador for the Health and Safety department communicating positively with customers, developing relationships and liaising with external visitors to meet their health and safety requirements.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail together with excellent IT skills, including proficient use of Word, Outlook and Excel, is essential. Proven administration experience,the ability to multitask and deal with conflicting demands and deadlines are required.
This is a part-time, fixed term role starting as soon as possible until 31 December 2017, working 25 hours per week.
