Reporting to the Assistant Management Accountant, you will assist with the processing of the purchase ledger for our restaurant, The Hayloft, ensuring our suppliers are paid on time, and that any queries are satisfactorily answered. You will also assist with the administration of The Donkey Sanctuary Purchasing Cards, including the processing of new applications, training of cardholders in the use of the online coding facility and ensuring correct cost and expense codes are used to assist in accurate coding of monthly expenditure. Further duties will include assisting in the daily banking of donation income during peak times, checking the accuracy of cheque and cash batch totals received from Supporter Services, and assisting in the processing of all supporters’ gift aid declarations.
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within an accounting function and will possess flexible and effective communication skills. Proven experience of accounting software, computer literacy (including extensive use of MS computer applications particularly Excel), and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy are essential.
This is a part-time, permanent contract working 20 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
