As part of the exciting changes we are making on site at The Donkey Sanctuary, including building a brand new flagship retail shop, we are looking to recruit a Retail Manager to maximise profitability and ensure high levels of customer service.
You will be responsible for managing The Donkey Sanctuary’s flagship shop at Sidmouth, maximising sales and profitability whilst ensuring the highest standards of customer service.
With your wealth of retail experience and superb leadership skills you’ll be a key member of the Visitor Engagement team. You will be approachable and visible to all staff and supporters, taking the time to represent the charity whenever possible.
Working with the Visitor Engagement Manager and other Duty Managers your passion and enthusiasm will ensure the strategic needs of the charity are delivered. You will lead by example and inspire your team to ensure that every visitor’s experience of the Sanctuary is a positive one, helping win over hearts and minds for the charity’s worldwide work.
A Degree or similar qualification in relevant subject such as business, retail, marketing, accountancy, leisure, hospitality or tourism, together with demonstrable success in sales and proven management abilities, including performance management, is essential.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
