The Donkey Sanctuary is one of the UK’s largest animal charities and the largest equine charity working internationally.
Our HR Department is looking for a full-time, permanent, HR and L&D Adviser, to be based in Sidmouth, Devon. Working to support our International Department Senior Management Team and our International Project Partners Senior Management Team.
There are an estimated 50 million donkeys and mules worldwide. Most are working to support livelihoods in some of the poorest and most marginalized communities in the world and have a vital role to play in human happiness and survival. Many need care and protection from a life of suffering and neglect.
We currently work with collaborating partners in 27 countries reaching 1 million donkeys and mules and our vision is to reach many more.
In this role you will hold the vital position of supporting our International Department and Partner staff, to ensure all necessary HR processes and practices are in place, functioning effectively, meeting international NGO best practice and the needs of The Donkey Sanctuary strategy worldwide.
You will provide HR expertise and knowledge to the senior management team and support the development of HR frameworks using existing models where necessary to develop new tools as appropriate to meet the needs of our international projects.
You will provide direct training to develop HR skills and knowledge within the international programme and develop leadership and management skills.
Are you a HR and Learning & Development professional with experience of working Internationally (minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified)? Do you possess excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information transparently and effectively? Can you demonstrate previous experience of developing and delivering a broad range of training? If so we would love to hear from you.
