The Donkey Sanctuary is one of the UK’s largest animal welfare charities and the largest equine charity working internationally. The Donkey Sanctuary supports projects in over 30 countries worldwide. Every day we feel privileged to help sick, unwanted and hard-working donkeys and the people who rely on them, thanks to incredible donations from our valued supporters.
There are an estimated 50 million donkeys in the world and we currently reach one million of them. Can you help raise the money needed to reach even more donkeys in distress?
You will take the lead with moving our community fundraising strategy forward and to the next level. Reaching more people and raising more money for abused donkeys around the world.
You will be an excellent relationship builder and lead the team to inspire and engage groups and individuals, businesses, universities and schools by creating excellent cultivation and stewardship plans and developing new propositions to generate income. You will further develop our events portfolio to grow the number of participants and build sustainable relationships for the long term.
Working closely with other Fundraising Managers you will ensure supporters are at the centre of our work, you will also help to build our legacy programme in key communities.
Ideally you will have experience of leading and managing a team, preferably one that works remotely, and have experience creating and monitoring income and expenditure budgets.
