Dorothy Harrison, a donkey-mad grandmother from Exeter, dropped off the last of the 100 ‘Woolley’ donkeys she has knitted to The Donkey Sanctuary this week. Each is perfect and unique. And each will be sold to raise funds for the charity’s work in the UK and worldwide.
Nimble-fingered Dorothy, who adopts Timothy the donkey, started her donkey-knitting craze after a relative gave her the donkey knitting pattern in 2011.
Since then she hasn’t been able to stop and has started wondering whether it’s an addiction.
