On Friday 29 July The Donkey Sanctuary will celebrate the opening of its second charity shop ‘For The Love Of…’ in Tavistock.
The ‘For The Love Of…’ shop will be the second of its kind in the country to offer an exciting blend of quality donated pre-loved goods and The Donkey Sanctuary’s exclusive range of gift items. There will also be the chance to pause for a delicious Fairtrade coffee, complete with carrot cake or donkey-shaped shortbreads.
The shop will officially open on Friday 29 with donkeys Boomer and Paddy from the Sanctuary’s Ivybridge centre present on the day. Open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday (and 11am to 4pm on the last Sunday of every month), For the Love Of… is excited to welcome everyone through its doors.
Annette Pollard, Retail and Catering Manager says: “We are so excited to be opening our doors on Friday, we have already had such a warm welcome from the Tavistock community that we can’t wait to show everyone what we have been working on! We want the For the Love Of… shop to be a place where people can come, socialise and learn about the work of The Donkey Sanctuary. A really big thank you to all the support we have already received and we hope to see you on Friday!”
There are a number of volunteering opportunities at For The Love Of… in Tavistock to help create a unique Sanctuary environment where people can relax, enjoy a delicious coffee with some retail therapy and learn more about The Donkey Sanctuary. More information about volunteering is available in store and on the charity’s website.
