A fashion show is being held in aid of The Donkey Sanctuary next Thursday 16th October 2014 from 7pm at Korks’ wine bar in Otley.
The show will feature a mixture of designer brands and unique and one-off items for all ages provided by Yorkshire chain, Harriet’s Clothing.
It’s the perfect opportunity to kick start your winter wardrobe and to help donkeys at the same time, says Jean Mitchell, of The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds’ volunteer fundraising group.
The Rawdon resident said: “Please come along and support us. It’s going to be a really fun evening with fantastic entertainment and beautiful clothes at great prices. The lovely Otley A Cappella Choir will be singing to put everybody in a jolly mood and then we’ll have a fantastic show, with fashion for all ages, all in the surrounds of a lovely wine bar. So it’s a great chance to help donkeys and have a glamorous evening out at the same time!”
Jane of Harriet’s Clothing, an animal lover and donkey-owner who believes that donkeys are “misunderstood”, got involved to support The Donkey Sanctuary as a worthy local cause.
The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds provides donkey assisted therapy to around 200 children and adults with additional needs from the local area each week. For information visit www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/donkey-assisted-therapy
The fashion show ticket price and ten percent of purchases on clothes will go towards The Donkey Sanctuary’s work worldwide.
Music will be provided by the Otley A Cappella Choir.
