The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds has appealed for a new volunteer minibus driver to help transport children with additional needs to their donkey assisted therapy sessions.
The driver would be required to drive the bus a few hours a week. He or she would need a PCV- D1 style licence and be qualified in MiDAS. PATS is an advantage but not essential.
Centre manager Cathryn Dixon says: “We’d love to have a new volunteer driver join us for ideally two days per week.
“It’s a very rewarding job and a great place to work. You’d be helping children with additional needs reach the centre, where they benefit from donkey assisted therapy - riding and grooming and spending time with the donkeys.
“You’d get to enjoy free donkey cuddles and the company of a friendly team who all love working with animals and children. Please give us a call if you’re interested. We’d love to hear from you!”
The centre is on Swan Lane, off Blackhill Lane, Eccup, LS16 8AZ.
For information about becoming a volunteer driver please call the centre on 0113 261 9249.
