The Donkey Sanctuary’s new family-friendly restaurant, The Kitchen, will provide a tranquil haven in which to enjoy an evening meal after the Red Arrows air show in Sidmouth on Friday 25 August.
Opening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for one evening this summer, The Kitchen will serve great value, freshly prepared food in a relaxing environment, including delicious main meals, great vegetarian and vegan options, and a varied children’s menu. Pre-booking is not required.
Chris Morris, The Kitchen’s head chef says: ‘The menu has been carefully created using local and ethically sourced ingredients, by my team of chefs who have been recruited from some of the finest restaurants in Devon. It is priced on a par with local pubs and restaurants but we provide visitors the added advantage of being able to enjoy a meal alongside spectacular views over the Sanctuary and the rolling hills of Devon to the sea.’
As well as the restaurant opening, there will also be donkeys on the main yard and the Gift Shop will be open until 8.30pm, allowing visitors to round off their evening in Sidmouth in a special way.
The restaurant is the first of the Sanctuary’s exciting new visitor facilities to be introduced in Sidmouth and all profits support the charity’s objectives to support donkey welfare worldwide. Dogs are welcome in The Kitchen and at The Donkey Sanctuary as long as they are kept on a lead.
The Kitchen is located just off the A3052 east of Sidmouth and there is ample free parking as well as a number of accessible parking spaces for disabled visitors.
