The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds still has camping pitches available to watch the Tour de France set off in Yorkshire on Saturday 5th July 2014.
The Sanctuary is located just a few miles from some of the best vantage points of the ‘Grand Depart’, the first day of the Tour, when the riders set out from Leeds and finish at Harrogate.
The centre at Eccup is a matter of minutes from the start of the race in Leeds city centre and from glorious viewpoints such as Harewood House, Pool in Wharfedale and Otley.
Find the centre at The Donkey Sanctuary, Swan Lane, Blackhill Lane, Eccup LS16 8AZ
The location is also perfect for when the riders race on throughout Yorkshire in later stages.
The charity is so excited to have the Tour nearby that it would love to share the experience and to welcome visitors to stay. This is such a special opportunity to watch the best riders in the world at close range and to enjoy the company of the donkeys and to see the donkey assisted therapy work in action at the same time.
Family pitches are available for £100 for two nights from Friday 4th July at 1pm until Sunday 6th at 6pm. This covers two adults and two children and one car. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
To celebrate the event there will be a barbecue and a licensed bar.
To book and to take advantage of this fantastic offer to watch the top riders in the world in the company of some of the best donkeys at some of the best rates in the area please call the Leeds centre on 0113 261 9249 until 3pm each day.
