The Donkey Sanctuary will be holding a bumper bank holiday weekend with a fantastic Wedding Fair and the ever-popular Spring Craft Fair.
The wedding fair will be officially run by the Sanctuary this time, building on the success of a partner’s event run in the Sanctuary’s grounds last year.
Couples can browse from more than 20 trade stands showcasing the best in wedding essentials such as dresses, cakes, flowers, favours and photography. Brides-to-be will receive complimentary drinks and free goodie bags. There will also be the opportunity for couples to view the Sanctuary’s beautiful licensed wedding rooms - a lovely and serene stable setting and a luxurious indoor ceremony room with views over the sea.
The Wedding Fair on Sunday 4th is followed by the Sanctuary’s annual Spring Craft Fair on Monday 5th May- a great opportunity to browse from a wide range of locally-made arts and crafts and an array of delicious homemade and artisan foods.
Chris Phillips from The Donkey Sanctuary’s events team says: “We’re really excited to be holding two fairs over the May Bank Holiday and we are looking forward to seeing what amazing products and services traders have to offer on both days.
“We hope couples will take the opportunity to view our unique licensed wedding rooms and to look for that special something for their wedding day from the stands at the Wedding Fair.
“The Spring Craft Fair has always been a great day and this year will be no different. With 40 brilliant traders on site visitors are sure to find something they love, knowing that they bought it directly from the person who made it.”
Both fairs will be held in a wheelchair and pushchair friendly marquee. Visitors will be invited to join a free prize draw.
Entry to each fair is £2 per adult (children under 12 are free).Funds raised will support our work in 27 countries worldwide.
The Wedding Fair runs from 11am- 3pm on Sunday 4th May 2014 followed by the Spring Craft Fair from 10am- 4pm on Monday 5th May 2014.
