Do you love donkeys? The Donkey Sanctuary in Eccup, Leeds is searching for a new team of volunteers to help out at weekends.
Your time will be spent mucking out and grooming, showing visitors around, helping people meet their adoption donkeys, helping with a children’s ‘Saturday Club’ once a month, and with other general activities around the centre.
Full training will be given. Your time will be well rewarded with unlimited donkey cuddles.
You will need to be enthusiastic about donkeys and to love being around people and children. Unfortunately these positions are not suitable for those with mobility problems.
The centre is on Swan Lane, off Blackhill Lane, Eccup, LS16 8AZ.
Centre Manager, Cathryn Williams, says: “Sadly some of our weekend volunteers have moved on due to other commitments. So we are hoping we can find some equally enthusiastic and cheerful helpers to carry on their good work!
Our volunteers are very important to us because it is their energy which ensures that visitors enjoy being here, and without the volunteers the centre just wouldn’t be the same.
“So if this sounds like you please don’t delay, and get in touch with the Centre. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you as part of our team!”
