An apple juice tasting day is being held on Wednesday 14th July 2010 from 10am at the Hayloft Restaurant, within the grounds of The Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth, Devon.
Sunnyhaye Fruit Farm in Woodbury will be bringing along their juice for visitors to try for free and following on from the event will be supplying the Hayloft Restaurant with the local product which will be added to the drinks menu.
Cassie Sides, manager of the Hayloft Restaurant, says: “Where possible, we stick to local suppliers and we are delighted to be sourcing our apple juice from Sunnyhaye Fruit Farm which is no further than 10 miles from us – it doesn’t get much more local!
“If you decide to stop a while longer at the Sanctuary, why not have something to eat at our restaurant? We are proud of the fact that all the profits from our food and drink sales are donated to The Donkey Sanctuary, helping donkeys worldwide.”
All Sunnyhaye Fruit Farm apples are grown without chemically manufactured fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides and pesticides and are approved by the Vegetarian Society.
The Hayloft restaurant’s opening times are 9am to 5pm daily. The menu includes:
- Vegan & Vegetarian Specials
- Daily Special Dishes
- Jacket Potatoes, Sandwiches, Paninis and Ploughman’s lunches
- Delicious Cakes
- Devon Cream Teas
- Fair Trade Coffee and Selection of Teas
