Participants can enjoy an introductory talk followed by the chance to watch licensed ringers catch, ring and record woodland birds. Maybe even a beautiful woodpecker, like the one pictured. There may be the opportunity for participants to release the birds depending on the suitability of the species caught.
James Chubb, The Donkey Sanctuary’s wildlife expert, says: ““There’s no better way to get so close to wild birds, other than ringing. Working alongside licensed ringing experts, this event will give you the chance to get nose-to-beak with some amazing woodland birds. So don’t miss out!”
