The Donkey Sanctuary has won a gold award in the prestigious 2018 Devon Tourism Awards.

John Crouch, visitor engagement manager at The Donkey Sanctuary says: “We are over the moon to win a Gold award in the Devon Tourism Awards. This is the first year that we have entered the awards and to come away with a Gold is truly amazing. Devon is in an enviable position of having many quality family attractions so winning our category is something I am immensely proud of and reflects the hard work and efforts of all our staff and volunteers.”

The Donkey Sanctuary faced stiff competition in the ‘Large Attraction’ category. Also up for the award was the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway which took bronze and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, Exeter who collected the silver award. Exmouth’s World of Country Life was highly commended in the category.
