For more than 40 years, The Donkey Sanctuary has provided donkey assisted activities for children in the UK and overseas. Over the past four decades the programme has evolved to enable the provision of interactive, psychosocial, Donkey Facilitated and Equine Assisted Learning Programmes that utilise mutually enriching interaction sessions aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of donkeys and critical life skills of vulnerable people.
We are looking to recruit a Visitor and Events Assistant to join our dedicated team at The Donkey Assisted Therapy Centre, Manchester. Presenting a positive and professional attitude of The Donkey Sanctuary at all times, you will be the main point of contact for visitors to the centre, and will provide a friendly and courteous welcome to all.
A flexible and self-motivated team player, you will assist with fundraising and promotional events, serve refreshments, and be proactive in selling goods in the shop. Possessing excellent communication and IT skills, you will be able to demonstrate a background in customer service and experience of working with people of all ages. The ability to Multi-task and manage a varied and demanding workload while working on your own initiative is essential.

This is a part-time, fixed term contract starting on 1 April 2019 until 30 September 2019, working 15 hours per week, Saturdays and Sundays 08.00 – 16.00.
