Paccombe Farm is run by manager Neil Coles and has around 15 members of staff as well as a lovely group of Quality Time Volunteers who visit every week. It is located in the beautiful hamlet of Harcombe and is surrounded by 38 hectares (93 acres) of amazing woodland which boasts a marvellous assortment of wildlife such as otters, bats and dormice.
We also have over 33 hectares (81 acres) of land which is home to almost 400 donkeys. The layout of our farm allows us to cater for our elderly donkeys with their specific needs as well as for our groups of boisterous young Irish male donkeys.
We are also very lucky to have Paccombe Training Centre where we run all sorts of free courses on donkey care and behaviour as well as bespoke training days for equine welfare organisations, schools, colleges, vets and farriers. This facility provides the perfect area for us to work with our donkeys in small separate groups to prepare them for going out to exciting new foster homes.
