Join the conservation team with their habitat and wildlife work at Slade House Farm, Sidmouth. Meet like-minded people, learn new skills, get some fresh air and help our local wildlife.
We will be using traditional woodland management techniques to manage some of our hedgerows. Hedge-laying increases the longevity of our hedgerows and maximises the amount of nectar, pollen and fruits our hedges can produce.
Please bring your own gloves, sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing to suit the weather conditions.
Bring a packed lunch and a bottled drink. We’ll provide the tea and biscuits.
Please note that some land management work is weather dependent. If the conditions are unsuitable we will usually have an alternative task planned, however on rare occasions we may have to cancel.
These are free events, however, booking is required.
