Come to our exclusive bird ringing event and see first-hand how this process can provide us with information on migration, population studies, territoriality, feeding behaviour and other aspects.
The day starts with an introduction from our nature expect, James Chubb, about bird ringing then a short walk down to the Nature Centre.
A bacon roll and tea or coffee will be provided, which can be enjoyed while watching a bird ringing demonstration, where licensed ringers will be collecting woodland birds in special nets, processing their details and giving them an identifiable ring.
There may be potential for participants to release suitable birds, but everyone will get the chance to be nose-to-beak and get a privileged glimpse of these woodland beauties.
There are limited number of places for this intimate event, so pre-booking is essential.
£10 per person, including bacon roll and tea or coffee.
