We were touched to receive an email from Joe Littlewood letting us know about the online fundraising page he set up in memory of his late mother Dianne who had loved donkeys for years.
I'm just writing to you to let you know that I set up a JustGiving page in memory of my Mum, who sadly passed away just under 3 weeks ago. She was poorly for quite some time, however, the trooper she was she 'got on with it'.
My Mum was a massive animal lover especially donkeys. There wasn't a day that went by that she wasn't either talking about donkeys or watching some sort of programme on them.
We have visited the Sanctuary in Devon many times, however, we live in Stockport, Cheshire and we were lucky enough to have a farmer's field a few miles away with donkeys in. We used to go down to the field and feed the donkeys carrots (I was to blame for eating 1 or 2 on the walk down).
In memory of
Dianne Littlewood 1950-2015.
Loved and missed by
many family and friends.
We all love you and
will never forget you.
I have been so overwhelmed by the donations given by friends and family who knew her. We are currently sitting at just under £800 which I'm so proud of and I hope this can contribute to the sanctuaries you have in some way.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I will be visiting the Sanctuary in Manchester soon.
Dianne was clearly much loved and we thank everyone who kindly made a donation in memory of Dianne which will allow us to continue our work as well as provide a lasting tribute to Dianne.
