As many of you will know, The Donkey Sanctuary has two foster donkeys in residence at the amazing Mudchute City Farm on the Isle of Dogs in London.
Saturday 12 December was a special day for the team on the farm. With Christmas just around the corner the farm hosted their Living Nativity Day with gift stalls, roasted chestnuts, Father Christmas Grotto and a chance for visitors to purchase the perfect Christmas Tree.
One of my wonderful foster carers in Suffolk had asked to accompany me to London to see what life is like on an inner City farm and I felt this might be a lovely way to introduce Michelle to the collaboration between Mudchute and The Donkey Sanctuary.
Harley and Skooby have settled in really well on the farm, visiting local schools and bringing much joy to many city children and they were absolute stars leading the Nativity procession.
To touch people's hearts is an incredible thing to do. Harley and Skooby do this on a daily basis, showing everybody what special creatures donkeys are.
There is but one photo with my blog, taken by Michelle, which I think says it all.
From Harley, Skooby, the team at Mudchute and myself, we wish you all a perfect Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
