Staff at Corona Energy in Watford held an International Food Day recently to help raise vital funds for The Donkey Sanctuary.
Credit Controller, Kayleigh Richardson said, ‘We choose a different charity every quarter or so and each staff member puts through a charity of their choice and one gets picked at random. The Donkey Sanctuary was mine, I had put it forward back in January. I was delighted that it was picked as I love the work the Sanctuary does. I love all animal charities and don’t think any of them get as much support as they deserve. The reason I selected yours above all others was because I had an adopted donkey at Redwings when I was younger and I’ve followed the work of several sanctuaries, including yours, ever since.
On the day, we had an array of food from the quintessentially English Scones with Cream to traditional Jamaican and Asian dishes and I think we even had some homemade noodles. It was such a diverse mix. I have to say I think the homemade Chick Pea Curry went the quickest on the day.
Our International Food Day was a huge success and we are thrilled to have raised £400 to help The Donkey Sanctuary continue its vital work caring for donkeys and mules worldwide.’
