Giving the gift of time is something that our wonderful Quality Time Volunteers do... the power of it should never be under-estimated. Some of our volunteers show such dedication. They even travel extra miles to visit the donkeys at our outyling farms if the regular farm they volunteer at is temporarily off limits. This is the case of this very special lady, Hilary.
Hilary is a regular visitor to Brookfield Farm which has been temporarily closed under our new bio-security regulations, which helps to contain any infectious diseases from being passed from farm to farm. This could simply be a cold that the donkeys get. It's better to contain the spread of the cold to other donkeys and then lift the restriction once the donkeys are better.
Instead of waiting for the all clear for Brookfield to be re-opened, Hilary decided to come and visit some of the resident donkeys here at Paccombe Farm. But she didn't turn up alone...
Hilary brought with her a bag full of fabulous knitted donkeys which she has been busy making in her spare time at home. We don't know how she does it!
So we would like to say a big thank you on behalf of us all to Hilary for the support and dedication she gives to The Donkey Sanctuary.

We have an army of community fundraisers who help raise funds for our donkeys and mules by knitting these adorable Woolley donkeys. If you would like to become a community fundraiser, please contact us.
We then sell the Woolley donkeys in our giftshop at the Sanctuary as well as in our online giftshop.
