Alex and Joseph recently arrived in their new home in North Scotland. Their new guardians have a camping and caravan business with a small children's pet area.
Alex and Joseph will have some new friends in their home; there will be 3 goats and 2 Hebridean sheep, pet rabbits and a few chickens. There will be lots of visitors to make a fuss of the donkeys and future walks through a small wood to the beach.
When donkeys are placed in new homes the Donkey Welfare Adviser arranges a settling in visit. This provides the opportunity for new foster owners to ask any questions and to ensure the donkeys have settled in to their new home.
Both Alex and Joseph had already started to follow their new owner around, and had worked out which stable was the food store. The donkeys were originally rescued by our Welfare Team in Ireland and after a spell in Devon receiving loving care by the staff they joined the rehoming group.
The future now looks rosy for both, they have settled in a loving home with lots to see and do.
