Twelve campers arrived around 4pm for their Bray & Stay Experience at our Leeds centre at the weekend. We have all had a fabulous time and many laughs. The weather all day Friday was strong winds so putting up the tents was fun to say the least! Fortunately it dropped force whilst we ate our delicious 3 course evening meal and our evening stroll was lovely.
Our visitors managed to catch a glimpse of some deer whilst we were out on our walk, as well as taking in the beautiful views that the wharf valley offers. The donkeys loved the change of scenery and behaved very well for their guests as they led them home.
After returning at 8.30pm to the centre and turning the donkeys out for the night, we settled down with hot chocolate and cookies to a game of ‘Donkey Drive’. Frivolity filled the air and the happy atmosphere ended the day on a high.
We woke at 6.30am to calm blue skies, mucked out, poo picked, groomed and after a hearty breakfast went off on our travels in the opposite direction with donkeys again.
Our happy campers loved it and didn’t want to go. William now has a new adoptive mum, whilst Eeyore, Andre, Jake, Joey, Tinker and Doodles have also made new friends for life.
