Now before I tell you a special story, I want to tell you all how massively astounded I am at the amount of support you have given me on the launch of my new blog! Over 1,000 likes on my first post is absolutely unbelievable! I feel like the luckiest mule in the world to have so many people wanting to hear all of my stories, and I hope that you all enjoy reading my posts as much as I enjoy writing them.
Today, I want to tell you all about my friend Dot. You see, just like the donkeys, us mules like to have our sole mates too.
And, although I socialise with everyone in my group, especially with Tom the horse, and also my other mule mate Rodney, I have more recently developed an attachment to Dot, who is an elderly mule and 32 yrs old.
Dot is a friendly mule, who is very good to handle by our humans and during our grooming sessions will enjoy a good brush, set and perm, to keep up with her beauty regime - as we all do!
For the past few months, Dot has been feeling a little lonely after her best friend Daph passed away. They really were the best of friends and spent all of their time side by side.
Our human friends always make sure we have everything we need, and give us the attention we love to have, and they have been making an extra special effort to check that Dot is not feeling too lonely, and this where i step in...
Me being a superstar, I am living up to my name as Rockstar, because I am cheering her up every single day. She now likes to follow me around our yard and barn and we always eat next to each other. We love to be out in the sunshine bathing side by side together like we have been best friends for years.
It is lovely to be able to help her and it makes me happy to have her by my side. I am proud of my friend Dot. I feel like we are 'a match made in Devon'.
ROCK AND ROLL :-)
