Paris finds a new home
Posted on 1 October 2010.Meet Paris, the lucky mule who has just been given a loving new home on the foster scheme! She went to live with her new owner and another mule on Friday 23rd September - a very emotional day for the grooms who have cared for her since her relinquishment in 2007.
Paris, along with several other animals, were relinquished to the Sanctuary after their owner died, when Paris was only 2 years old. As she was a young mule and was not closely bonded to any of her companions we always wanted her to have a chance to experience a loving home again, as we felt she would flourish in a one to one environment.
We were all so pleased to see Paris go out to a new home, but it was very sad to see her leave. At only 5 years old Paris is fantastically behaved and a very sweet and friendly mule who loves coming to the grooms for hugs.
On the morning of her departure, we spent time getting her spruced up ready for the trip to her new home in Cornwall, and we were delighted when she practically pulled us up the ramp into her awaiting 'carriage'! She was obviously excited to be embarking on a new chapter of her life!
Paris arrived safely a couple of hours later and has since been having fun settling into her home and making friends with the other resident mule ‘Kerry Blue’, who is also a foster mule from the Sanctuary.
What a happy ending for such a lovely mule. All at Town Barton wish Paris and her new owners a long, happy future together.
