Hello! I'm Tash and I'm 42 years old. I'm a Wiltshire girl, but I currently live in Woolwich, South East London with my husband Dan who's a soldier in the Royal Anglian Regiment. I have also served in the Army, but presently I work in Children's Services for Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
My love of donkeys began when I was a child and my Granny and Grandad, who lived in Donegal, owned a much loved pair of donkeys called Cathy & Dolly. We would visit Donegal in the holidays and we looked forward to seeing Cathy & Dolly just as much as we looked forward to seeing our grandparents…. it’s ok, they didn't mind.
Through social media a few years ago I found out about The Donkey Sanctuary and the fantastic work that they do. When Christmas 2014 came around, I had the best present ever in my stocking. I actually cried because I was so happy. Walter was now my Adopted Donkey and I always carry the picture I got sent of him around in my purse.
Back in 2015 I raised funds for The Donkey Sanctuary by running the Great North Run with my twin sister Beck and now I want to go that one step further and run the Virgin London Marathon for them.
I feel absolutely ecstatic about being given a place to run in this year’s London Marathon with Team Donkey Sanctuary and I want to raise as much money as possible, so I have also added the Brighton Marathon (2 weeks before the London Marathon) and the Milton Keynes Marathon (8 days after the London Marathon) to encourage people to dig as deep as possible for me. I’ve also roped my husband Dan into running both the Brighton and London Marathons with me to help me raise as much as I can for this amazing charity.
Every penny I manage to raise by running these three marathons will help this amazing charity care for even more donkeys and mules in need.
Thank you for following me on my journey, and if you can please support me with any donation you can manage.
