Flyn's in good shape
Posted on 18 August 2009.When I visited our Derbyshire Centre in July 2009, I had a chance to go and see some of the donkeys. One of them was a donkey called Flyn. When he came into our care, he had very deformed limbs and could hardly walk. His front legs were practically knuckled over and he was walking on his fetlock joints. He was very thin, uncomfortable and could not be put in with other donkeys as he was a stallion.
It is lovely to see Flyn now. He has his own special stable and paddock and is very happy living where he can see the other donkeys. He has put on some weight and the farrier has managed to trim his feet so that he can almost stand completely straight on his front legs and as a result of this his movement is very much better. It was great to see what a success there has been with this donkey.
