Just thought I'd bring you up to date with my friend Lady. You may remember that I went into hospital with her to make sure she was comfortable and have a friendly face waiting after the vet took foot x-rays.
She was as good as gold and stood very patiently... not like me! Can't stand still for more than a minute - too much to see and do!
While we were in the hospital, we were given a lovely stable and Alex, Lady's vet, kept popping in to make sure she was doing OK. I kept nudging Lady just to remind her I was there and if she needed anything, just to let me know and I'd bray for the nurse.
Lady was also due to have a couple of tests to check her liver as she hasn't been feeling very well lately. Off she went and how funny she looked when she came back to our stable. She had two shaven patches on both sides of her tummy. Of course, I didn't tell her she looked funny - friends just don't do that sort of thing!
After a few days of box rest for Lady, we're now out in one of the hospital paddocks. It's really nice here because lots of people walk by on their way to the restaurant. I must say the ice creams look delicious! Some people have stopped to say hello which has been a real tonic for Lady.
I noticed that she's now wearing a new set of plastic shoes on her front feet, not the same style as those she normally wears. Must be the latest fashion! Anyway, she's walking very well in them and it's good to see her feeling better.
The latest on Lady's test results is that she might have a liver infection. Alex is giving her some tablets to help. So hooves crossed she will get better soon.
All being well, we'll be back down on the Main Yard in a couple of days, so look out for us either on the main yard or see if you can spot us on the webcams!
