Donkey charity welcomes 200th mule resident

Chad and Henry are available for foster

International animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary is this week welcoming its 200th mule into its care.

The charity, which works to alleviate the suffering of donkeys and mules in 28 countries worldwide, has seen an increase in the number of mules and hinnies needing homes over recent months. Some of these have been rescued by the charity after being found neglected or abandoned, whilst others have come from loving homes that are no longer able to care for them. All now have a sanctuary for life.

The donkeys have been in the care of Mr and Mrs Tweed since November 1998, and for the members of staff who cared for them while they were here, it is always lovely to hear how they are getting on.
