Officially opened on Friday 29th June 2007, we are situated in Filham Park at Ivybridge, an established popular amenity for the local community.
Set in the beautiful Devon countryside, our Centre is easily accessible from the A38, enabling us to provide donkey riding therapy for special needs children throughout the south-west areas of the country. |

Around 150 children with special needs and disabilities from 30 local schools in the city and surrounding areas benefit from donkey riding therapy at this Centre each week.
Sam Tweedale is the Senior Riding Instructor at the Centre. She explains:
"We have only been up and running for a short time but the children are relishing in the experiences they are having. We had one young boy in who his teacher said he had limited verbal communication skills. On getting on the donkey I asked him to tell the donkey to "Go". On this command with a big beaming smile on his face he said "Go" much to the shock and enjoyment of everyone. It does go to show that even in a short space of time these special donkeys have such a big impact on the children."
